STUDIOPOLA190211: SKETCHES FOR THE LIST OF FICTIONAL PRINCESSES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER

The idea for "the list of fictional princesses in alphabetical order" came from the story of Rapunzel, whom, trapped in a tour, unravels her hair so the prince can climb up and rescue her. History is very rich in fairy-tales, legends and folklore about princesses.
"Princess" is a symbolic conception for a feminine figure who is fragile, delicate, and need protection from stronger ones. Little girls love to be called as that, as much as many women.
It seemed fitting to compile a(n absurdly alphabetical) list of fictional princesses, since the concept of princess itself is completely erroneous to that of the woman, of today or any era.
Writing the fantasy princess names in hair from very real women (the hair used is my own as well as hair collected from hair-salons) is a means to highlight the fictionality of the princess concept.
Being written from this very delicate material, the words become images of delicacy, frailty and at once a feat of strength through suppleness and adaptability, a typically feminine "quality".
The accompanying book listing all the biographies of all the princesses in the list will further enable the onlooker to widen the fictional treasures unlocked by the concept of the princess.

THE LIST OF FICTIONAL PRINCESSES IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER WILL BE SHOWN AT BASKET HOUSE VILLAGE UNIVERSE, LONDON, IN APRIL
